Mandie Groves, owner and principal photographer of Black Cat Photography, is always ready and willing to do the hard work to get that perfect shot- no matter if it’s climbing a tree, squatting in a duck-walk or lying in a pile of leaves, it’s all in a day’s work for the extraordinary shot and an ecstatic client!
Mandie’s style is a relaxed, natural, journalistic approach, focusing on the three L’s- lighting, looks and laughter. She makes use of the natural light and space of her surroundings, and is determined to get the perfect lighting in every photograph to capture the genuine feel of the moment; she works with her clients to ensure they stay comfortable with themselves, each other, and the locale in order to get the shot of those intimate, loving, looks; and she’ll keep her finger fast on the shutter to get those amazing Kodak candid moments of pure laughter and joy. Most importantly, Mandie strives to get the shot that includes all three, she takes great care to ensure her clients stay comfortable and leave the shoot happy.
Black Cat Photography is named for Mandie’s oldest cat, Gisa, whom she adopted while teaching abroad in South Korea, where she first discovered her love for photography. Gisa is a tuxedo cat with only half a tail- from birth- which is why Black Cat Photography’s logo and business cards feature an unusual silhouette!
Mandie’s a popular gal and her schedule fills up quick- book a session with her today!
